About the LAB

  • The microbiology laboratories at Alexandria University Hospitals and Clinics are full service facilities that offer a complete spectrum of microbiology laboratory techniques (sampling and analytical services). Long-term experience and a highly skilled team is available.
  • Laboratories are located on the third floor of the academic building of Alexandria Faculty of medicine. It provides services on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Disciplines include:
    • Basic routine microbiology lab
    • Mycology lab
    • Tuberculosis lab
    • Molecular Diagnostics lab
    • Hospital surveillance lab
    • Support services
      • IT & networking
      • Media preparation
      • Decontamination (sterilization) service
