*What is the study duration?

The study duration is five academic years. This is followed by two Foundation years obligatory for Egyptian students offered by Alexandria Faculty of medicine.

 

*What are the tuition fees?

The annual tuition fee is 12500 $. It can be paid either in full or in three instalments ; the first one at the registration time, the second in January, and the third in May 

 

*What are the prerequisites for joining the program?

Applicants ( National & International) for this program should meet the existing Egyptian National Entry requirements to study Medicine at Alexandria University or any other Egyptian Governmental University. 

 

*Is there an early admission for the program?

Applicants can admit to the joint program after receiving the nomination cards from tansik.

*What happens after the applicants are accepted?

The students can register online to the University of Manchester, and are considered its students, then they  receive their own official e-mail through which they can enter the Manchester educational website to benefit from the learning resources on the site and the university library.

 

*Is the program based on modules or credits?

The MB CHB/MBBCH program is based on a credit bearing system.   The total program credit points: 60 credit points / academic year in 5 academic years = 300 credit points

 

*Will the graduation certificate be signed by Manchester university?

The degree certificate will be issued by Manchester University and signed by officials of both parties.

 

*Do the Egyptian students have the right to apply for clinical residency ?

The Egyptian graduates of the program have the right to apply for clinical residency in Alexandria university hospitals as well as academic jobs offered by the university to graduates of the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine.

 

*Should  the graduates pass the PLAB to be able to work at UK?
